Publisher Archive Interaction

Detailed description:

The British Library is developing an archiving solution for e-journals. Intrinsic to this undertaking is the belief that an institutional identifier will make access to the archive as efficient and trouble free as possible.  The service will make provision for the outcomes of the Journal Supply Chain project.  Through analysis of the demands for an archiving service feedback will be gathered for the Publisher Archive Interaction work package.   

The next step is to discuss requirements with a cross-section of publishers in order to define the type of archiving service to be provided and the viability of including the institutional identifier in publisher generated access authorisation data.
