We are currently working with four publishers in this Pilot: BMJ, Rockefeller University Press, OUP and American Academy of Pediatrics. They work with different fulfillment systems, which is important to ensure a balanced view when documenting existing coding, granularity and metadata within the partcipants' systems. The next step will be to explore the inclusion of an identifying code in the existing Supply Chain from agents to publishers, as well as determining which EDI interface(s) will be used to make the pilot a success and actually adding the Journal Supply Chain Identifier to one of the EDI interfaces. During the UKSG Conference in Warwick (3 April 2006), we organised a kick-off meeting, which will be followed up by another group meeting in May during the HighWire Conference. In the meantime, Swets is working with the individual publishers to move forward.
